The Entrepreneurial Revolution

I had the privilege of speaking yesterday with junior and senior students at Notre Dame Preparatory as part of Catherine DiBonaventura’s business speaker program.

My presentation focused on The Entrepreneurial Revolution: how AI is transforming knowledge work, why business growth increasingly depends on adaptability and technology fluency, and why young people should begin building real-world skills now—not someday after college.

My core message to the students was simple:
The future will not belong only to the people with the best answers. It will belong to the people who ask better questions, learn faster, think laterally, and create useful solutions.

AI is changing how businesses research, communicate, market, analyze data, create content, and serve customers. But technology alone is not the advantage. The advantage comes from pairing AI with the human skills that create business value:
* Identifying opportunities and unmet needs
* Solving problems creatively
* Communicating ideas clearly
* Understanding customers and audiences
* Turning insight into action
* Adapting quickly as markets and technology change

That is the entrepreneurial mindset. It is not limited to people who start companies. It is increasingly essential for anyone who wants to lead, grow a business, build a career, or make an impact.

I was impressed by the students’ engagement, thoughtful questions, and openness to exploring what is possible. Programs like this give students valuable exposure to the practical realities of business, entrepreneurship, marketing, and the evolving role of AI as they prepare for college and the working world.

Thank you to Catherine DiBonaventura and Notre Dame Prep for the invitation and for creating meaningful opportunities for students to learn directly from business professionals. I am grateful for the warm reception—and honored to have been invited back.
